Lesley & Jeff

Lesley and Jeff were married at St. Catherine of Sweden near North Park. I shot this wedding with my friend Kathy. Their reception was held at the Carnegie Music Hall in Oakland, what an amazing venue, everything was beautiful!

I think this shot of them sitting on the stairs is very sexy, and who doesn't like sexy??

The girls were a lot fun as well!!

I asked Lesley to give me some attitude for this image, and she did a great job!

Laurel & Harv

I loved this tropical themed wedding!!! Laurel and Harv held their ceremony and reception at Shakespeare's in Ellwood City. They hired a place called The Prop Shop, and they did an amazing job with the decorations... they turned a castle into a tropical paradise!

Laurel's dress was fabulous! I LOVE my brides!!! Pink happens to be my favorite color, but I just really liked the design and the way the color wrapped around... beautiful. I think you can also tell that she was very relaxed in front of the camera, which made her easy to shoot.

And look at the way she's looking at her groom... what a moment. This shot was taken by my wonderful assistant Heather, she's the best! (I need to post about her sometime soon).

The weather was perfect, as seen by this beautiful, clear blue sky. If you've never been to Shakespeare's, it's quite picturesque.

Below are two different takes on the same image... one with flash, and one without. I really like both shots, but I think I like the silhouette the best. The sunset was beautiful (almost like being somewhere tropical), and we caught it just in time.

Nadine & Anthony

Congratulations Nadine and Anthony! The ceremony and reception were both held at the Greek Orthodox Diocese in Shadyside.

Nadine wore her Grandmother's ring, it was beautiful... and look at that blue hydrangea in the background, that was my favorite part of her bouquet!

The weather was amazing... beautiful, clear, and sunny... I don't think you could ask for a better day. They were a really fun couple to work with.

I really wanted this image to be dramatic, so I shot directly into the sun hoping to get some lens flare... I think I succeeded!

Professional Makeup

I had a makeup artist contact me a couple of months ago to talk about weddings, brides, etc. As a photographer, I LOVE professional makeup... yes, it seems like they use a lot, but it works great for pictures. Anyway, I don't like to recommend vendors I haven't used, so I decided to have a makeup lesson. I really did this for two reasons, one was to learn more about makeup, and the other was to see if I would recommend her to brides.

She used MAC cosmetics, and did a great job!! I have completely changed the way I use makeup, and although I felt like it was a little much at first, I have received a lot of compliments on my new look. I don't use quite as much as pictured below, but you get the idea.

I HATE the idea of people seeing me without makeup, but I figure if Oprah can do it, so can I. Afterall, she is the poster child for professional makeup... she really does look horrible without it. But, you have to give her credit, she lets people see her that way!

Anyway, her name is Jennifer Palermo, and she can be reached at 724.502.6006 or makupartist@zoominternet.net.

I liked her because she wasn't selling anything, she was simply there to teach me how to look better. I definitely recommend calling her if you're considering having your makeup applied.

Rachel & Ryan

Rachel and Ryan were married at St. Joan of Arc church in Library (near South Park and Bethel Park). It was pretty hot, but everyone did great! I shot this wedding for Golden Image Photography.

I love this image of Rachel in her parents home, she just seems so relaxed, and she was... it was a pleasure working with her!

On the contrary, I think the image below showed that she was a little pensive, for some reason I liked the way she was holding her fingers.

We went to Jefferson Memorial after the ceremony for the formal photographs, I loved this staircase.Their reception was held at The Bradley House... my assistant Heather and I loved the cherry filled cake!
